Experiential Learning

Folklore and Public Culture is the epitome for experiential, hands- and minds-on learning. This is the way to study and engage with current and past legends, ancient and contemporary urban myths, customs, music, foods, religions, oral traditions and diversely mediated cultural expressions. We include experiential learning initiatives into our programming and courses to open windows and let the world participate in our learning together. We are always eager to support our student’s initiatives to present lectures and organize creative and innovative events.

See our special courses on Fieldwork, Magic and Fairy Tale Cultures, World Music, popular myths, rituals, festivals, medical discourses, obsessions, passions across nations, traditions, times, and digital fabulations.   Folklorists go with the flow.
