Interdisciplinary Student Research Profiles
“I'm very grateful to the UO Religious Studies department for providing GE positions to support my studies during my dissertation research and writing phases. It has been an intellectually stimulating experience, considering that I research the intersection of religious and intellectual history in Germany. The faculty were exceptionally enthusiastic about the subject matter and empathetic to work with, alongside students from many disciplines and academic pathways. Religious studies is a multicultural discipline drawing on texts and sources from many different cultures and time periods, and training students in interpreting complex materials. I'm glad to have been part of the broad engagement in humanities and liberal arts that students receive here.”
