Career and Professional Development

We have a strong record in placing our PhD students. The majority of students who have received PhD degrees from EALL have found tenure-track assistant professor positions at four-year US colleges and universities. Our MAs have either gone on to study in doctoral programs or found a wide range of employment opportunities, including lecturer positions at the college level.

The University of Oregon offers a multitude of professional development resources to help graduate students chart their career path. Whether you are interested in pursuing a career in or outside of academia, students can seek career counseling and exploration, resume and CV reviews, interview preparation, teacher training and certificates, graduate workshops, and more.
