Students with prior language experience, e.g., at high schools and other prior institutions, study abroad programs, personal experiences, should take a placement test so that they will be placed at the appropriate level within our programs.

Chinese

For those individuals on campus in Eugene, please schedule the written portion of the placement test by emailing the UO Testing Center. Then contact Jean Wu to schedule an oral interview appointment. The oral interview will be conducted in a telephone call. Please include your phone number and student ID number when requesting an oral interview.

For those not on campus, the procedure is similar. Email Jean Wu to schedule a comprehensive oral interview over the phone. Please include your phone number and your UO ID number.

Japanese
