Each year the department awards undergraduate scholarships, with particular emphasis on enabling students to study abroad in Germany and Scandinavia. Please see our Study Abroad page for details on how to apply for these scholarships.
At our annual Spring Celebration in May, we offer scholarship awards on the basis of academic merit and financial need. For need-based scholarships, students must have an up-to-date FAFSA on file at the UO Financial Aid Office.
We would like to thank our generous donors for the scholarships they have endowed:
- Anderson Scandinavian Studies Scholarship
- Philip and Teresa Hansen Germanic Languages and Literature Scholarship
- The Beth Maveety Study Abroad Scholarship
- Herbert Merker Scholarship in German and Scandinavian
- Helmut Plant German Undergraduate Scholarship
