Like the major, a theatre arts minor involves both hands-on and scholarly coursework with exposure to theatre’s varied practice areas. It also allows for some specialization. For many students, the minor keeps them involved in creative practice or complements their major in other disciplines.
To complete a minor in theatre arts, students must fulfill the following requirements:
- All courses must be taken for letter grade and completed with a C grade or higher.
- Required Theatre Arts credits:
- 24 minimum minor credits (course credits in theatre arts).
- 16 minimum upper-division credits (300-level or above).
- 16 minimum credits earned at UO.
- At least one course in each category:
- Literature/Criticism
- Performance
- Technical Theatre
- Theatre History
