
Minor Requirements
The minor in Linguistics requires a total of at least 28 credits in linguistics coursework, all of which must be taken on a graded basis.

- Morphology and Syntax (LING 312)

- Corpus Linguistics (LING 493)
One Elective Course
Please refer to the list of pre-approved electives. If you believe that another course might have sufficient linguistics content to count as a Linguistics elective, contact a Linguistics Undergraduate Advisor for approval.
Language Requirement
The language requirement for the minor is the same as the Bachelor of Arts at the UO. See the UO Academic Policies for an explanation of the BA second language requirement. However, as linguists interested in the diversity of languages in the world, we encourage you to study a non-European language, or a non-spoken language, such as American Sign Language (ASL).
Grading
All courses applied toward the minor in Linguistics must be taken on a graded basis.
